cf16b2c8e6 Kernel: Wrap process address spaces in SpinlockProtected
This forces anyone who wants to look into and/or manipulate an address
space to lock it. And this replaces the previous, more flimsy, manual
spinlock use.

Note that pointers *into* the address space are not safe to use after
you unlock the space. We've got many issues like this, and we'll have
to track those down as wlel.

79fa9765ca Kernel: Replace KResult and KResultOr<T> with Error and ErrorOr<T>
We now use AK::Error and AK::ErrorOr<T> in both kernel and userspace!
This was a slightly tedious refactoring that took a long time, so it's
not unlikely that some bugs crept in.

Nevertheless, it does pass basic functionality testing, and it's just
real nice to finally see the same pattern in all contexts. :^)

efeb01e35f Kernel: Disable big process lock for sys$get_stack_bounds
This syscall only reads from the shared m_space field, but that field
is only over written to by Process::attach_resources, before the
process was initialized (aka, before syscalls can happen), by
Process::finalize which is only called after all the process' threads
have exited (aka, syscalls can not happen anymore), and by
Process::do_exec which calls all other syscall-capable threads before
doing so. Space's find_region_containing already holds its own lock,
and as such there's no need to hold the big lock.

We commonly talk about "a process's address space" so let's nudge the
code towards matching how we talk about it. :^)

1cffecbe8d Kernel: Push ARCH specific ifdef's down into RegisterState functions
The non CPU specific code of the kernel shouldn't need to deal with
architecture specific registers, and should instead deal with an
abstract view of the machine. This allows us to remove a variety of
architecture specific ifdefs and helps keep the code slightly more
portable.

We do this by exposing the abstract representation of instruction
pointer, stack pointer, base pointer, return register, etc on the
RegisterState struct.

2a78bf8596 Kernel: Fix the return type for syscalls
The Process::Handler type has KResultOr<FlatPtr> as its return type.
Using a different return type with an equally-sized template parameter
sort of works but breaks once that condition is no longer true, e.g.
for KResultOr<int> on x86_64.

Ideally the syscall handlers would also take FlatPtrs as their args
so we can get rid of the reinterpret_cast for the function pointer
but I didn't quite feel like cleaning that up as well.

5d180d1f99 Everywhere: Rename ASSERT => VERIFY
(...and ASSERT_NOT_REACHED => VERIFY_NOT_REACHED)

Since all of these checks are done in release builds as well,
let's rename them to VERIFY to prevent confusion, as everyone is
used to assertions being compiled out in release.

We can introduce a new ASSERT macro that is specifically for debug
checks, but I'm doing this wholesale conversion first since we've
accumulated thousands of these already, and it's not immediately
obvious which ones are suitable for ASSERT.

4188373020 Kernel: Fix TOCTOU in syscall entry region validation
We were doing stack and syscall-origin region validations before
taking the big process lock. There was a window of time where those
regions could then be unmapped/remapped by another thread before we
proceed with our syscall.

This patch closes that window, and makes sys$get_stack_bounds() rely
on the fact that we now know the userspace stack pointer to be valid.

Thanks to @BenWiederhake for spotting this! :^)

f1b5def8fd Kernel: Factor address space management out of the Process class
This patch adds Space, a class representing a process's address space.

- Each Process has a Space.
- The Space owns the PageDirectory and all Regions in the Process.

This allows us to reorganize sys$execve() so that it constructs and
populates a new Space fully before committing to it.

Previously, we would construct the new address space while still
running in the old one, and encountering an error meant we had to do
tedious and error-prone rollback.

Those problems are now gone, replaced by what's hopefully a set of much
smaller problems and missing cleanups. :^)

c8d9f1b9c9 Kernel: Make copy_to/from_user safe and remove unnecessary checks
Since the CPU already does almost all necessary validation steps
for us, we don't really need to attempt to do this. Doing it
ourselves doesn't really work very reliably, because we'd have to
account for other processors modifying virtual memory, and we'd
have to account for e.g. pages not being able to be allocated
due to insufficient resources.

So change the copy_to/from_user (and associated helper functions)
to use the new safe_memcpy, which will return whether it succeeded
or not. The only manual validation step needed (which the CPU
can't perform for us) is making sure the pointers provided by user
mode aren't pointing to kernel mappings.

To make it easier to read/write from/to either kernel or user mode
data add the UserOrKernelBuffer helper class, which will internally
either use copy_from/to_user or directly memcpy, or pass the data
through directly using a temporary buffer on the stack.

Last but not least we need to keep syscall params trivial as we
need to copy them from/to user mode using copy_from/to_user.

949aef4aef Kernel: Move syscall implementations out of Process.cpp
This is something I've been meaning to do for a long time, and here we
finally go. This patch moves all sys$foo functions out of Process.cpp
and into files in Kernel/Syscalls/.

It's not exactly one syscall per file (although it could be, but I got
a bit tired of the repetitive work here..)

This makes hacking on individual syscalls a lot less painful since you
don't have to rebuild nearly as much code every time. I'm also hopeful
that this makes it easier to understand individual syscalls. :^)
