Bump electron-builder (#9884)
Now that #9815 has landed, we can finally bump electron-builder to the latest release. As this brings in python3 support out-of-the-box, workaround of the runtime-bump on macOS runners can be removed.

Custom Windows Installer & Uninstaller (#9815)
This PR introduces a new installer and uninstaller for the Windows platform.

Both are written in Rust and compiled to a single executable. The executable has no dependencies (other than what is included in the Windows), links the C++ runtime statically if needed.

The change is motivated by numerous issues with with the `electron-builder`-generated installers. The new installer should behave better, not have issues with long paths and unblock the `electron-builder` upgrade (which will significantly simplify the workflow definitions).

To build an installer, one needs to provide the unpacked application (generated by `electron-builder`) and the `electron-builder` configuration (with a few minor extensions). Code signing is also supported.

Fixes for local backend (#9850)
- Mostly fix #9817
- Fix creating directories at the top level in Local Backend
- Allow renaming files and directories in Local Backend
- Fix opening a template when a project is already open, causing both projects to be open. (Normally only one project should be open at a time)
- Hidden files cannot be hidden as the dashboard does not yet have the required information.

- Fix issue with selection. To reproduce on develop:
- Begin editing an asset's name
- Drag to select text in the input
- Continue dragging *past* the bounds of the input.
- Release mouse
- Observe that the selection collapses into a mouse cursor.
- (Note: this behavior should no longer happen on this branch, only on develop).

Allow downloading projects on GUI dev server (#9851)
- Fixes #9482
- Add URL rewriting logic to `npm run dev` in `app/gui2/` so that "download" actions work

# Important Notes
- ⚠️ `config.yaml` HAS BEEN REMOVED in favor of `config.json`.
- Most of the keys have been removed as they were only used by GUI1.
- This is a REQUIRED change, because the vite dev server does not seem to like importing yaml files when running `vite.config.ts`.

Normalize windows paths (#9618)
- Fix #9619
- Fix issue causing the full path to be shown on Windows.

Additional changes:
- Add `npm run watch:windows` script to `lib/client` for developing on Electron.

# Important Notes
Testing instructions:
- Should ideally be tested on Windows. All the following should work:
- Creating, opening and deleting top-level projects
- Creating folders
- Creating, opening and deleting nested projects
- Uploading and deleting top level and nested files
- Moving folders, files and projects

Remove obsolete GUI arguments (#9466)
- Close #8610

# Important Notes
QA notes:
- The GUI2 warning screen should not show up - the arguments that GUI2 do not understand have been removed.
- However, it should be tested that the warnings screen should correctly work when invalid arguments really *are* passed in:
- Via URL query parameters (electron, might need to open the electron app then the browser, *or* do `location.href = ` in DevTools in Electron.)
- By editing `Editor.tsx` to inject invalid args to the big configuration object we pass to the GUI entrypoint.

Directory management on Local (Project Manager) backend (#9353)
- Implement https://github.com/enso-org/cloud-v2/issues/961
- Allow directory management on Local backend
- Setting a custom root directory is currently *out of scope* of this PR.
- Listing directories
- Deleting directories and files
- Adjust project-related APIs to accept parent directory path (as required by PM when not interacting with root directory)
- QoL improvements related to testing this PR
- New watch script (`npm run watch2`, `npm run watch:linux`) in `app/ide-desktop/lib/client/`) for testing IDE2 on Electron without having to build the entire app
- Adjustments to `gui2`'s `vite.config.ts` to allow React HMR when doing dev in Electron

# Important Notes
- Support for deleting files and folders uses the API introduced by #9359 - so it will not work until that PR is merged in.
- Support for uploading files uses the API specified by #9360 - so it will not work until that issue is closed.

Remove ensogl-pack (#9407)
This PR removes enso-pack (ensogl-pack) crate.
It still keeps the `enso-runner` JS package, as it is used for CLI argument parser and logger. The runner should be probably refactored (and possible removed altogether).

# Important Notes
I've temporarily extracted the `enso-runner` to `lib/js` directory, as I wanted to avoid keeping pure JS library under `lib/rust`. Attempts at integrating this with `app/ide-desktop` and family caused too much trouble for this PR. The expectation is that the package will be removed or moved elsewhere soon anyway.

Refactor configuration keys out of repository (#8895)
- Close https://github.com/enso-org/cloud-v2/issues/866
- Remove *all* references to client keys and API base URLs from the codebase.
- The app can still be built by external contributors. *However*, the cloud backend (among some other things) will be completely disabled, as the required keys and base URLs will be missing.
- Add entry to `.gitignore` to allow `*.env` files in `app/ide-desktop/lib/dashboard/`

# Important Notes
- Tested (no `.env`; `.env` with prod backend; `.pbuchu.env`) on:
- `npm run dev` in `app/ide-desktop/lib/dashboard/`
- `./run ide build`
- `./run ide2 build`
- `./run gui watch`

Vue dependency update, better selection performance, visible quotes in text inputs (#9204)
- Improved performance by batching simulatenous node edits, including metadata updates when dragging many selected nodes together.
- Updated Vue to new version, allowing us to use `defineModel`.
- Fixed #9161
- Unified all handling of auto-blur by making `useAutoBlur` cheap to register - all logic goes through a single window event handler.
- Combined all `ResizeObserver`s into one.
- Fixed the behaviour of repeated toast messages. Now only the latest compilation status is visible at any given time, and the errors disappear once compilation passes.
- Actually fixed broken interaction of node and visualization widths. There no longer is a style feedback loop and the visible node backdrop width no longer jumps or randomly fails to update.

Re-enable vibrancy and add support for Linux (#9003)
- Fixes support for vibrancy
- Disable background when vibrancy is enabled
- Minor refactors to pass the relevant config option to dashboard, so that the dashboard knows whether vibrancy is enabled
- Enable vibrancy on Linux if a special environment variable is set

# Important Notes
- MUST be tested on macOS
- Windows *does not support resizing* when vibrancy is enabled. This is a limitation of Windows - see [this issue](https://github.com/electron/electron/issues/6107).

Make (almost) all interfaces readonly (#8800)
This is not strictly necessary (as indicated by the fact that no actual logic needed to be changed), but it doesn't hurt to make this change.
- Make (almost) all `interface`s `readonly`
- Some of them are *not* readonly; this is intentional as those *do* need to be mutated
- A `no-restricted-syntax` lint rule has been added, but only for `interfaces` - it has been added neither for `classes` nor for `readonly T[]`
- A lint rule for `extends React.PropsWithChildren` instead of `extends Readonly<React.PropsWithChildren>` would be easy to add though...

# Important Notes
- There should be no logic changes, so QA shouldn't need to test anything in particular.

Syntactic synchronization, automatic parentheses, metadata in Ast (#8893)
- Synchronize Y.Js clients by AST (implements #8237).
- Before committing an edit, insert any parentheses-nodes needed for the concrete syntax to reflect tree structure (fixes #8884).
- Move `externalId` and all node metadata into a Y.Map owned by each `Ast`. This allows including metadata changes in an edit, enables Y.Js merging of changes to different metadata fields, and will enable the use of Y.Js objects in metadata. (Implements #8804.)

### Important Notes

- Metadata is now set and retrieved through accessors on the `Ast` objects.
- Since some metadata edits need to take effect in real time (e.g. node dragging), new lower-overhead APIs (`commitDirect`, `skipTreeRepair`) are provided for careful use in certain cases.
- The client is now bundled as ESM.
- The build script cleans up git-untracked generated files in an outdated location, which fixes lint errors related to `src/generated` that may occur when switching branches.

- dashboard's bundle script (`npm run build`) which uses ESBuild.
- GUI2's own entry point (GUI2's `npm run dev`).

- `./run ide watch`
- `./run ide2 build`
- `./run gui watch`

E2E tests (#8239)
- Closes #8179

# Important Notes
- ⚠️ These tests are currently *not run* on any CI workflow.
- There is some unused code for mocking the PM. This has been intentionally kept, as this may be useful in the future.
Note that this may be useful for testing the dashboard, however the dashboard is currently only tested in cloud mode
- that is, without the backend switcher, and with only the remote backend available. As such, currently it uses HTTP API mocks, and no PM mock.

The fix for "Reopening cloud projects" has not been tested, as opening projects on the cloud are currently broken - *however*, the logic change is very small - the only thing it does is make the reopening conditional. This means that, at the very least, it should not be a regression.

Dashboard tests (#7656)
- Implements https://github.com/enso-org/cloud-v2/issues/631
- Tests for dashboard (`app/ide-desktop/lib/dashboard/`):
- End-to-end tests

# Important Notes
To test, run `npm run test` in `app/ide-desktop`, or `app/ide-desktop/lib/dashboard/`. All tests should pass.

Individual test types can be run using `npm run test-unit`, `npm run test-component` and `npm run test-e2e` in `app/ide-desktop/lib/dashboard/`.
Individual end-to-end tests can be run using `npx playwright test -c playwright-e2e.config.ts test-e2e/<file name>.spec.ts` in `app/ide-desktop/lib/dashboard/`.

End-to-end tests require internet access to pass (for things like fonts).

This PR *does* check in screenshots to guard against visual regessions (and/or to make visual changes obvious)

New GUI/IDE build script support (#7832)
This PR adds support for the new Vue-based GUI (aka `gui2`).

The user-facing changes are primarily:
* support for `./run gui2` and `./run ide2` commands (that build just the new GUI and the whole IDE package with new GUI embedded — respectively);
* the top-level `test` and `lint` commands will now invoke the relevant commands on the new GUI

[GUI2] Module contents editing and synchronization (#7938)
Added bidirectional synchronization of module edits with language server. All document edits made by any of the Yjs peers are sent to language server to apply to the file. Any local file changes cause reload, which is synchronized back to Yjs by finding a diff.

(even more) Dashboard fixes (#7877)
- Fixes display of the assets table in Firefox. Before this fix, the table header grows instead of the table footer.
It seems like the correct behavior for tables is to [not be valid flex children](https://stackoverflow.com/a/41421700/3323231), so the correct fix is to add a `flex` wrapper div.
- Fixes missing error toast notification when `startup.project` is invalid
- Fixes #7589
- Enter (incorrectly) causes projects to be opened when the name is being edited
- Gracefully fail when `projectState` is missing from an asset
- Avoid opening editor for previously opened project, when `startup.project` is provided
- Fixes https://github.com/enso-org/cloud-v2/issues/688
- Fixes CSS for search bar
- Fixes https://github.com/enso-org/cloud-v2/issues/689
- Adds "New <X>" entries back to context menus for regular assets
- Fixes https://github.com/enso-org/cloud-v2/issues/692
- Fix `z-index` of top left (page switcher) icons
- Fixes https://github.com/enso-org/cloud-v2/issues/693
- Fix restoring local projects after closing and reopening
- Adds blur to top right menu bars for extra visibility

# Important Notes
Testing should test Firefox and Chrome (testing on Safari is optional) to make sure the following is working correctly:
- The table looks normal
- The context menu still triggers below the table (both with and without items being selected)
- There is no scrollbar if the table is shorter than the viewport

[Gui2] Opening projects and language server connection (#7813)
# Important Notes
- Binary LS endpoint is not yet handled.
- The parsing of provided source is not entirely correct, as each line (including imports) is treated as node. The usage of actual enso AST for nodes is not yet implemented.
- Modifications to the graph state are not yet synchronized back to the language server.

Bump electron version (#7707)
Again I hit the problem with shader compilation failing with no apparent reason, and again bumping electron version helped me.

# Important Notes
I bumped to latest `25.x` version as I haven't dared to change major version expecting breaking changes.

Home screen (#7517)
- Closes https://github.com/enso-org/cloud-v2/issues/580
- Adds home screen

Other changes:
- Typing in the search bar from the home page, switches to the drive page. This is easy to change/remove, of course

# Important Notes
There are minor differences from the design:
- The Enso logo has opacity 0.6 to match the text color, rather than 0.665
- The list of samples is different
- The border-radius on the "create empty project" tile was changed from 18px to 16px, to match every other border-radius (especially the ones on the tiles for the other samples)

Implementation notes:
- The "new project" circled plus icon has a different color to the primary text color as well, but that has been left as-is
- The sample descriptions have a backdrop-blur, but the background image no longer extends underneath it
- There are currently no inset shadows for the home screen, but it will be easy to copy them from the old implementation from the old templates list
- "Read what's new in Enso 3.0 Beta" currently links to https://enso.org/, rather than a blog post (which does not yet exist)
- The new template backgrounds have been replaced with SVGs. The Excel one uses the Excel logo from Wikipedia; the new geospatial analysis one was converted to SVG via auto-tracing.

There are also several placeholders:
- Sample author icon
- Sample author
- Sample open count
- Sample like ount
