b8929368f2 copytrace: move the default copytracing algorithm in a new function
We are going to introduce a new fast heuristic based copytracing algorithm, so
lets make mergecopies the function which decides which algorithm to go with and
then calls the related function.

While I was here, I add a line in test-copy-move-merge.t saying its a test
related to the full copytracing algorithm.

59fe14130c copytrace: replace experimental.disablecopytrace config with copytrace (BC)
This patch replaces experimental.disablecopytrace with experimental.copytrace.
Since the words does not means the same, the default value is also changed. Now
experimental.copytrace defaults to 'on'. The new value is not boolean value as
we will be now having two different algorithms (current one and heuristics one
to be imported from fbext) so we need this to be have more options than
booleans.

The old config option is not kept is completely replaced as that was under
experimental and we don't gurantee BC to experimental things.

.. bc::

The config option for copytrace `experimental.disablecopytrace` is now
replaced with `experimental.copytrace` which defaults to `on`. If you need to
turn off copytracing, add `[experimental] copytrace = off` to your config.

936199e02d rebase: use scmutil.cleanupnodes (issue5606) (BC)
This patch migrates rebase to use scmutil.cleanupnodes API. It simplifies
the code and makes rebase code reusable inside a transaction.

This is a BC because the backup file is no longer strip-backup/*-backup.hg,
but strip-backup/*-rebase.hg. The latter looks more reasonable since the
directory name is "strip-backup" so there is no need to repeat "backup".

I think the backup file name change is probably fine as a BC, since we have
changed it before (2e51c9a7a08f) and didn't get complains. The end result
of this series will be a much more consistent and unified backup names:

command | old backup file suffix | new backup file suffix
  -------------------------------------------------------------------
  amend | amend-backup.hg | amend.hg
  histedit | backup.hg (could be 2 files) | histedit.hg (single file)
  rebase | backup.hg | rebase.hg
  strip | backup.hg | backup.hg

(note: backup files are under .hg/strip-backup)

It also fixes issue5606 as a side effect because the new "delayedstrip" code
path will carefully examine nodes (safestriproots) to make sure orphaned
changesets won't get stripped by accident.

Some warning messages are changed to the new "warning: orphaned descendants
detected, not stripping HASHES", which provides more information about
exactly what changesets are left behind.

Another minor behavior change is when there is an obsoleted changeset with a
successor in the destination branch, bookmarks pointing to that obsoleted
changeset will not be moved. I have commented in test-rebase-obsolete.t
explaining why that is more desirable.

1b7185f6d1 merge: always use other, not remote, in user prompts
Now that we store and display merge labels in user prompts (not just
conflict markets), we should rely on labels to clarify the two sides of a
merge operation (hg merge, hg update, hg rebase etc).

"remote" is not a great name here, as it conflates "remote" as in "remote
server" with "remote" as in "the side of the merge that's further away". In
cases where you're merging the "wrong way" around, remote can even be the
"local" commit that you're merging with something pulled from the remote
server.

906104f96d merge: use labels in prompts to the user
Now that we persist the labels, we can consistently use the labels in
prompts for the user without risk of confusion. This changes a huge amount
of command output:

This means that merge prompts like:
no tool found to merge a
  keep (l)ocal, take (o)ther, or leave (u)nresolved? u
and
remote changed a which local deleted
  use (c)hanged version, leave (d)eleted, or leave (u)nresolved? c
become:
no tool found to merge a
keep (l)ocal [working copy], take (o)ther [destination], or leave (u)nresolved? u
and
remote [source] changed a which local [dest] deleted
  use (c)hanged version, leave (d)eleted, or leave (u)nresolved? c
where "working copy" and "destination" were supplied by the command that
requested the merge as labels for conflict markers, and thus should be
human-friendly.

1bef6fef82 copy: add flag for disabling copy tracing
Copy tracing can be up to 80% of rebase time when rebasing stacks of commits in
large repos (hundreds of thousands of files). This provides the option of
turning off the majority of copy tracing. It does not turn off _forwardcopies()
since that is used to carry copy information inside a commit across a rebase.

This will affect the situation where a user edits a file, then rebases on top of
commits that have moved that file. The move will not be detected and the user
will have to manually resolve the issue (possibly by redoing the rebase with
this flag off).

The reason to have a flag instead of trying to fix the actual copy tracing
performance is that copy tracing is fundamentally an O(number of files in the
repo) operation. In order to know if file X in the rebase source was copied
anywhere, we have to walk the filelog for every new file that exists in the
rebase destination (i.e. a file in the destination that is not in the common
ancestor). Without an index that lets us trace forward (i.e. from file Y in the
common ancestor forward to the rebase destination), it will never be an O(number
of changes in my branch) operation.

In mozilla-central, rebasing a 3 commit stack across 20,000 revs goes from 39s
to 11s.

281365197e progress: get the extremely verbose output out of default debug
When the progress extension is not enabled, each call to 'ui.progress' used to
issue a debug message. This results is a very verbose output and often redundant
in tests. Dropping it makes tests less volatile to factor they do not meant to
test.

We had to alter the sed trick in 'test-rename-merge2.t'. Sed is used to drop all
output from a certain point and hidding the progress output remove its anchor.
So we anchor on something else.

473137c772 merge: change debug logging - test output changes but no real changes
Preparing for action list split-up, making sure the final change don't have any
test changes.

The patch moves debug statements around without really changing anything.
Arguably, it temporarily makes the code worse. The only justification is that
it makes it easier to review the test changes ... and in the end the big change
will not change test output at all.

The changes to test output are due to changes in the ordering of debug output.
That is mainly because we now do the debug logging for files when we actually
process them. Files are also processed in a slightly different but still
correct order. It is now primarily ordered by action type, secondarily by
filename.

The patch introduces some redundancy. Some of it will be removed again, some of
it will in the end help code readability and efficiency. It is possible that we
later on could introduce a "process this action list and do some logging and
progress reporting and apply this function".

The "preserving X for resolve" debug statements will only have single space
indentation. It will no longer have a leading single space indented "f: msg ->
m" message. Having this message double indented would thus no longer make
sense.

The bid actions will temporarily be sorted using a custom sort key that happens
to match the sort order the simplified code will have in the end.

ee476759ff merge: delay debug messages for merge actions
Show messages at a point where the actions have been sorted, thus preparing for
backout of 14f4258e3526.

This makes manifestmerge more of a silent operation, just like 'copies' is.

Indent 'preserving' messages to make them subordinate to the action logging so
they fit in the new context. (The 'preserving' messages are quite redundant and
could also be removed completely.)

cc612c476f tests: remove unneeded -d flags
Many tests fixed the commit date of their changesets at '1000000 0' or
similar. However testing with "Mon Jan 12 13:46:40 1970 +0000" is not
better than testing with "Thu Jan 01 00:00:00 1970 +0000", which is
the default run-tests.py installs.

Removing the unnecessary flag removes some clutter and will hopefully
make it clearer what the tests are really trying to test. Some tests
did not even change their output when the dates were changed, in which
case the -d flag was truly irrelevant.

Dates used in sequence (such as '0 0', '1 0', etc...) were left alone
since they may make the test easier to understand.
