Summary: The `lines` renderer doesn't work if the output encoding doesn't support the curved line drawing characters. In this case we should fall back to `lines-square`. Rename `lines` to `lines-curved`, and change `lines` to pick the best renderer to use based on what is possible with the current output encoding.
