# Additional function may terminate abruptly
The specified [additional function](https://github.com/facebook/prepack/wiki/Additional-function) throws an exception, or might throw an exception. This means that much of the global state produced by the function will be in an unknown state at Prepack time and there will be little benefit to be gained from prepacking the function.
