Patrick Thomson	9d5ace795b	Take a pass at fixing/silencing linter hints. ... Since @charliesome was expressing trouble with keeping custom infix operator precedence straight (a very fair complaint, and one that I have trouble with too), I thought it best to make sure that master builds with clean hlints.
