<p>Kannada (<span class='autonym'>ಕನ್ನಡ ಲಿಪಿ</span>) is an Indic abugida, written left-to-right, partially with a headstroke (45 million users). Used in southern India for the Kannada language as well as Konkani, Tulu, Badaga, Kudiya, Paniya. Related to Telugu. Needs software support for complex text layout (shaping).
