<p>Hanunoo (<span class='autonym'>ᜱᜨᜳᜨᜳᜢ</span>) is a Southeast Asian abugida, unusually written in upward vertical columns that are read left-to-right. Used in the mountains of Mindoro, South Philippines since c. 1300 for the Hanunó'o language (18,000 speakers). Needs software support for complex text layout (shaping).
