<p>Yanek is a typeface designer and typographer‭. ‬Born in the USSR‭, ‬he emigrated to Israel at the age of 16‭ ‬and studied graphic design at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design. ‬He has worked in London and Tel Aviv‭, and taught typography‭ ‬and type design at the Bezalel Academy ‬and at Shenkar College of Engineering and Design. ‬An award-winning type designer‭, Yanek runs Fontef, his own foundry specializing in Hebrew type design. He designed the FF Cartonnage‭, ‬Hadasah Friedlaender,‭ ‬and Mandatory type families‭. ‬His interest in <a href="http://www.fontef.com/photolog" target="_blank">found typography</a> and <a href="https://bicyclog.wordpress.com/" target="_blank">bicycle culture</a>‭ is documented online‭.</p>
