9**|sync** sets up a sychronization between two [Clay](/docs/glossary/clay) [desks](/docs/glossary/desk). It is mostly used to distribute kernel updates.
11By default, in the [galaxy](/docs/glossary/galaxy)/[star](/docs/glossary/star)/[planet](/docs/glossary/planet)/[moon](/docs/glossary/moon) hierachy, the kids desk of the parent is synchronized with the base desk of the child.
