Nudge new users towards using this style:
```lua
local config = {}
config.color_scheme = 'Batman'
return config
```
and surface how to write lua modules closer to the main section
on config files. In that lua modules section, nudge towards using
a convention similar to that of the plugin spec described in
this commit: e4ae8a844d
This, along with the plumbing included here, allows specifying
the destination of the split (now you can specify top/left, whereas
previously it was limited to right/bottom), as well as the size
of the split, and also whether the split targets the node at the
top level of the tab rather than the active pane--that is referred
to as full-width in tmux terminology.

I've seen a number of people copy and paste the example that runs
`top` and be confused by it, so try to make it a bit clearer how
to get a regular split with a shell inside it.
