Update contributing docs to point to extensions (#10537)

This PR updates the contributing docs to remove an outdated section
about extension support and instead point to the extension authoring
docs.

We really want to build a plugin system to handle making the editor extensible going forward. If you are passionate about shipping new languages or themes we suggest contributing to the extension system to help us get there faster.
