Notebook Desktop Application User Manual
Introduction
The Notebook Desktop Application is a simple application built using Python that allows users to create, edit, and save text files. It provides basic functionalities like open, edit, delete, save, reset, bold, and italic. The application has a menu bar that contains all these options for easy access.
Installation
To use the Notebook Desktop Application, you need to have Python installed on your machine. You can download Python from the official website: Python.org.

Usage
To start the Notebook Desktop Application, navigate to the directory where the main.py
file is located and run the following command:
python main.py

Features
File Menu
The File menu contains options related to file operations.

Open: Click on the "Open" option in the File menu to open a text file. A file dialog will appear, allowing you to select a text file from your local machine. Once selected, the contents of the file will be displayed in the application's text area.

Save: Click on the "Save" option in the File menu to save the current contents of the text area to a text file. A file dialog will appear, allowing you to choose the location and name of the file. The file will be saved with a
.txt
extension. -
Exit: Click on the "Exit" option in the File menu to close the application. A confirmation dialog will appear to confirm your decision.
Edit Menu
The Edit menu contains options for text editing.

Undo: Click on the "Undo" option in the Edit menu to undo the last edit made in the text area.

Redo: Click on the "Redo" option in the Edit menu to redo the last edit that was undone.

Cut: Click on the "Cut" option in the Edit menu to cut the selected text from the text area.

Copy: Click on the "Copy" option in the Edit menu to copy the selected text to the clipboard.

Paste: Click on the "Paste" option in the Edit menu to paste the contents of the clipboard into the text area.
Format Menu
The Format menu contains options for text formatting.

Bold: Click on the "Bold" option in the Format menu to apply or remove bold formatting to the selected text. If the selected text is already bold, the option will remove the bold formatting.

Italic: Click on the "Italic" option in the Format menu to apply or remove italic formatting to the selected text. If the selected text is already italic, the option will remove the italic formatting.
