This command does exactly what 'hg remove -Af [FILES]' does.
The reason for creating a new command is that the options for 'hg remove'
are confusing (-A removes only deleted files, -f forces deletion, and using
both means *the exact opposite of both*).
[mpm: simplified help text, code, and updated tests]
Currently listing non-enabled extensions and a short introductory text.
Thanks to Dan Villiom Podlaski Christiansen for the preliminary
proof-of-concept code for listing available extensions.
In 'hg', we now show a short list of commands, including extension commands.
In 'hg help', we show core commands, a list of enabled extensions, and topics.
With this change, "hg clone" looks like this:
% hg clone http://example.com/repo/big big
requesting all changes
adding changesets
adding manifests
adding file changes
added XXX changesets with XXX changes to XXX files
updating working directory
XXX files updated, XXX files merged, XXX files removed, XXX files unresolved
So the user sees
% hg clone http://example.com/repo/big big
requesting all changes
adding changesets
adding manifests
adding file changes
added XXX changesets with XXX changes to XXX files
updating working directory
while Mercurial is writing to disk to populate the working directory
With this change, "hg clone" looks like this:
% hg clone big big-work
updating working directory
XXX files updated, XXX files merged, XXX files removed, XXX files unresolved
- Example: "hg tag -r 42 build-25 beta-1" will add tags build-25 and beta-1
for rev 42.
- The deprecated and undocumented usage "hg tag arg1 arg2" used to emit a
warning, then add tag arg1 for rev arg2 (equivalent to "hg tag -r arg2 arg1").
It will now add tags arg1 and arg2 for the current revision.
- If one tag triggers an error, no tags are added/removed (all or nothing).
In particular: if invoked without -R from a CWD not inside a repo, having been
passed one or more file paths as command arguments, where the nearest enclosing
repo of all of those paths is the same, quietly infer a -R option for that repo.
Otherwise abort with an error message as before.
These names were disappearing in the asciidoc output and no form of
escaping seems to help. Let's just add repo/ to make it explicit that
they're in the repository root.
