-> No PRs on po/ and the pot file.
-> makepot updates the pot file which is then uploaded to LP.
-> LP translations overwrite what's in po/
-> mo files are generated during the build.
For encrypted home, the files in /home/.ecryptfs/$USER will be backed-up and restored. The decrypted contents in $HOME will be excluded. This avoids the security issue of decrypted contents becoming available outside the user's home directory.
Files in /home/.ecryptfs/$USER contain the entire contents of user's $HOME. Any filters added by user to exclude files in $HOME will be ignored.
For users with encrypted Private directory, both the encrypted files in $HOME/.Private. and decrypted files in $HOME/Private, will be excluded as it contains user data.
Any filters added by user to include files in $HOME/.Private or $HOME/Private will be ignored.
The first reason for this change is to make the description in the about dialog
match the GenericName and comment string in the /usr/share/applications/.desktop
file. We want these to match because we'll need that string in the POT file
to have it translated in Launchpad. This will ensure we'll be able to generate
a fully translated .desktop file in the near future.
The second reason for the change is that "for Linux" is redundant and not
relevant to users. Timeshift is a great app name, "System Restore Utility" a great
comment, it's explicit and clear in the app menu, but "for Linux" brings nothing
extra.
